Akina Adderley - Say Yes

I had the opportunity to jam with Akina on her album, "Say Yes," in 2012. , I worked with Ryan Hastings to capture Akina's natural positive energy, inspired by her great-uncle Cannonball's "Things Are Getting Better" cover, complete with low camera angle and ample negative space.
The entire package design is meant to evoke classic soul albums from the late-sixties. Ryan's photoshoot yielded so many amazing photos, we decided to include several more inside the CD packaging, which we also utilized for future promotional material.
Although "Say Yes" was never officially pressed on vinyl, the cover would sit nicely beside both vintage and modern soul records, much akin to Akina's vocal style on each track.
